North West Tree Services

North West Tree Services is a 100% locally owned, family business based in Karratha. The company is owned and operated by Noel Wright & Dianne Lockett. Commencing operations in 1987 the Company has flourished. In 2017 NW Trees employ a full-time staff of nine, including qualified Arborists, plant operators, experienced supervisors and professional administrative staff.

 

We are fully experienced and qualified in all facets of tree care and maintenance, comprehensively insured, and members of The Tree Guild of WA Inc. We provide a safely managed work environment for our staff & clients, a modern fleet of well-maintained vehicles and equipment. Our tree works are in accordance with Australian Standards and the ethos of The Tree Guild of WA Inc. following current best practises in tree management.

 

As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety of our staff and clients we have developed a comprehensive safety management strategy that includes risk assessment/management, SWMS’s, hazard management & programmed maintenance schedules for all vehicles & equipment. All onsite activities are covered by frequently reviewed JHAs, signed and understood by each team member and on site Take 5s performed prior to the commencement of each job. Our program of continuous improvement in the field of Health and Safety includes a 3-monthly consultative review of all our JHAs, weekly toolbox meetings and daily review of onsite activities via the Take 5s and any further additions to our JHAs as necessary.

 

The development of our Safety Management Plan has allowed us to maintain long term ongoing contracts with many of the larger organisations of the Pilbara, Including Woodside, Rio Tinto, Dept. of Housing, Dept. of Finance, Sodexo, Pindan, Water corporation, Spotless, City of Karratha, Town of Port Hedland and the Ashburton and East Pilbara Shires.

 

All safety documentation, staff credentials, job procedures, our Health and Safety Management Plan and Insurance Certificates are available for review through our internet based document portal called SiMPLe. This portal has been specifically designed and built for our company to streamline our safety management, while providing selected clients with varying degrees of access to relevant documentation. Over the years we have been called upon to travel throughout the Pilbara by our clients and as such we are fully versed in the requirements to mobilise to any town in the Pilbara including, but not limited to, Port Hedland, Newman, Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Onslow, Exmouth and Panawonica.
